Timney RPR Trigger Review by SHWAT

The Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR) has gotten a lot of attention by the long-range shooting fans. There was a lot of skepticism and excitement surrounding the release of the RPR. With many different options on the market, Ruger was able to produce a great precision rifle that doesn’t break the bank. We are excited to to keep you up-to-date on the latest long-range rifles available. Recently, there was a great review of the RPR on SHWAT that discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the RPR.

The review examines the trigger, suggesting that switching out the trigger for a different style may be advantageous to those who have years of experience with a traditional style trigger. A more novice shooter may find that trigger to be more than adequate. If you are interested in switching out the trigger, head on over to the full article to read the simplified instructions to complete the change.

The article also discusses how the RPR is a bit on the heavy side. Again, if you are looking for an impressive gun that doesn’t break the bank, the RPR is a great option even though it is heavy. For minimal additional costs the barrel can be switched out to lighten the load. The author suggests replacing the barrel with a carbon fiber barrel, as it can lighten the gun by about a pound.

In addition to learning how to get the most out of a RPR, the article discusses how the gun fairs at the shooting range. As we would hate to take credit away from SHWAT or the author, head on over to the website to read the full review.

As always, let us know what you think about the RPR. We are excited to see how it compares to other rifles available on the market.
