25 Jul Great Shooting Bipods and Mounts from Our Collection
The use case for a rifle bipod is nearly self explanatory. It is much easier for most shooters to place accurate shots when shooting from a bench as compared to shooting prone. When you’re in the field, you don’t have a bench. The best you can do is improvise.
Rifle bipods help change that paradigm, and high quality models provide a stable shooting surface on nearly any terrain, making it easier for sportsmen and competitors to connect with far off targets, reliably and in the face of changing conditions.
So, let’s take a look at some of the top bipods from our collection (with another cool accessory thrown in).
Atlas Bipods: Gen 2 CAL
The Cant-and-Lock (CAL) Atlas Bipod is a specially designed rifle bipod for shooters that don’t need the panning feature.
Compatible with any 1913-style Picatinny tail, the Atlas Gen 2 CAL Bipod mounts easily via the included lever and features an easy-to-use, lockable cant adjustability via the Poc-Loc system, offering about 15 degrees of motion.
It also features five leg positions – 0, 45, 90, 135, and 180 degrees – and non-rotating legs along with larger, stronger inner legs. It’s also configurable with optional leg extensions to increase shooting height, and is compatible with several different interchangeable feet.
It comes with soft rubber feet that are multifunctional on a wide range of surfaces, but can also be configured with ski feet, spike feet, cleat feet, and spiked cleat feet, making it adaptable to nearly any ground or surface conditions. These feet are also easy to swap out in the field via the action of a stainless steel plunger with a bullet tip.
These bipods are built tough, too, and engineered to perform in the most unforgiving of conditions. They’re made with heat-treated stainless steel as well as aluminum components that have been finished with a Type III anodized hard coat, delivering high strength and exceptional wear and corrosion resistance.
Putting the icing on the cake, these Atlas Bipods are made in the United States.
MDT Bipods
Anarchy Outdoors is also proud to offer Gen 2 MDT CKYE-PODs, which, like the Atlas Bipods mentioned above, deliver unyielding performance.
These MDT Bipods represent an upgrade to the original, already-versatile CKYE-POD, and are optimized for one-handed use, making them ideal for competitive shooting disciplines.
These MDT Bipods are rock-solid and available with several styles of mounts to suit a wider range of rifles. They are configurable with Picatinny mounts with either standard or PRS short legs, along with ARCA mounts for both right and left-handed shooters. Their ARCA mounts are configurable with standard, PRS short, double, and triple pull legs (offering extension out to 36”). They also offer RRS and sling swivel stud mounts for right handed shooters.
They also offer a lot of other value-added features. As stated, they offer single-handed adjustments. They are also made with hard, lightweight anodized aluminum (the lightest model starts at 21 ounces) that has been tumble deburred, delivering a smooth, tactical feel and pleasant, sharp aesthetic.
These MDT bipods also offer 170 degrees of cant with a tension adjustment knob as well as 360 degrees of pan (on most models) and on pan-capable models, the feature is lockable. There are separate tension knobs for both the pan and cant functions.
They’re also optimized for use on a wide range of terrain, with spiked feet that offer excellent grip on both hard and soft, permeable surfaces, delivering top-tier stability.
Labradar Bench and Tripod All-Purpose Mounts
While this isn’t technically a bipod, this is a good place to introduce the Labradar Bench and Tripod All-Purpose Mounts, a great product and a new one here at Anarchy Outdoors.
Adjustable to lay flat (or usable as a tripod) with adjustable legs that are perfect for extra-windy days, this all-purpose mount is the perfect solution for your Labradar. It’s the perfect range mate for determining your load’s performance with respect to velocity (min, max and average) shot spread, and even standard deviation of a shot series). They are accurate in their measurements and indispensable for chronicling the metrics of your ammo, especially if you handload. And now, with these mounts, you have a way to use them effectively at the range.
They’re also highly stable, whether you’re bench shooting or prone shooting, it’s made in the USA, and the best part, it comes with extra mounts so you can also use it with a spotting scope, rangefinder, or Kestrel.
