Today we want to give a shout out to the United States of America! We, at Anarchy Outdoors, love Independence Day! It is a day to celebrate this great country and spend time with loved ones. It is a time to enjoy barbeques, fireworks, and ice cream. While we hope everyone enjoys this holiday weekend, we want to remind everyone why we celebrate Independence Day.
In 1776 a group of men came together to declare independence from a tyrannical governing state. They believed that there should be no taxation without representation and were willing to sacrifice everything to secure a country founded on basic freedoms, such as the the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
For the next few years, these men and many others would put their lives on the line to fight for the rights outlined in the Declaration of Independence. Battle after battle ensued, until the rag-tag group of colonies were able to defeat one of the most power countries of that time. After a period of time, many of the men involved in the revolution sat down to draft the Constitution as we know it today.
While, the United State’s independence started with our declaration in July of 1776, it continues today thanks to many men and women who have sacrificed time, money, good, and even their own lives to ensure that this great country has remained free.
Today, we want to honor the founding fathers that were able to provide us with a Constitution that provides for so many freedoms and rights. We also honor all of those who have served since then to protect those freedoms and rights. We are honored to share this day with so many friends and family.
